Repair urged on bridge linking West Pittsburg and Moravia
High water has cut off travel for five days between West Pittsburg and Moravia as the Beaver River bridge remains intact but the south approach road is washed and submerged. North Beaver supervisors are urged to fill a short stretch to restore access and end periodic floods blocking passage. The river bridge, rebuilt at about $60,000, survived prior floods, and travel reopened yesterday after waters subsided.
