Attorney Charles Martin of Crawford avenue was severely burned yesterday while adding coal to a basement heater. Gas had accumulated and explosion of flame upon opening the furnace door singed his face.

An eastbound Balti more and Ohio train derailed eight miles east of Akron due to a broken rail at 7 50 this morning. Two coaches a dining car and a sleeper derailed while the engine baggage car and passenger cars stayed on the tracks. No injuries were reported.
