Peoples Gas seeks $51 million rate increase

Peoples Natural Gas Co. has asked the Public Utility Commission for a $51 million rate hike. The proposal would raise the average residential bill by 39 cents daily, about $142 yearly, to offset higher gas purchases from pipelines and producers. Court overturns murder conviction in Texas case

Randall Dale Adams, who has served 12 years for a Dallas police killing depicted in the Thin Blue Line, had his murder conviction overturned by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
