Mohawk Softball Makes Historic Run To WPIAL Title Game
Mohawk High girls softball surged from a 7-8 last season to win a WPIAL Section 5-AA title and boast a 16-0 in-section start. Sophomore Tristan Voss blossomed as pitcher and batter, guiding the Lady Warriors to their first WPIAL title game before finishing 16-2 after a playoff loss. Voss shifted from third base to mound, overcoming losses and freshman retools, while coach Brad Hruska praised the team’s unity and defense as key to a remarkable comeback season.
