Right Side of Rig Drops as Truck Rolls in Field Crash
A Landry tractor-trailer skidded off Route 317 into a field, tipping onto its right side. Two women escaped, aided by a neighbor and North Beaver Township Volunteer Fire Department with Bessemer police. Route 317 closed about four hours while three road tow trucks and two field tow trucks righted the vehicle. The crash is the second for a Landry rig in just over a year, following a May 28, 2008, wreck on Route 14 in Portage County that killed a 78-year-old Ohio woman and sent a SUV into West Branch State Park waters.
