Lewisburg Pa Anthony Amabile Jr son of Anthony and Angelina 2512 Willowhurst Circle New Castle has been awarded a 1000 scholarship to attend the Governor s School for the Arts at Bucknell University this summer. Amabile is a 12th grade student at Vocational Technical School of Lawrence County. He was one of 217 students selected from over 1000 applications. The Governor s School runs July 5 to August 9 on the Bucknell campus offering art music dance theater and photographic arts with a flexible six day per week schedule. Faculty includes educators and artists from around the state and nation plus the Visiting Artist Series. The program emphasizes the related arts and encourages exploration beyond the major field. The Governor s School is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a cooperative project of the Bureau of Special Education and the Bureau of Curriculum Services.
