Youngster collapses at pool amid heat and delays
A 10 year old girl, Donna Bales, collapsed from heat exhaustion while waiting to enter Cascade Park pool. About 300 children were kept out until 2 p.m. due to chlorine checks and a broken chlorine pump. Pool manager Sylvester Deli attributed the delay to maintenance and said no police were called. She was treated at St. Francis Hospital and released.
