Plan To Unveil Statue Sunday
The Beloved Christus statue of Christ by Bernardo Zuckerman will be unveiled at Castle View Burial Park at 2 p.m. Sunday July 2. The Carrara marble replica of Thorvaldsen's Christus comes from Carrara Italy and arrived recently by Mooney Bros. Its dedication sermon will be given by Dr. Robert F. Galbreath, with Rev. J Calvin Rose delivering the invocation and Rev. Thomas J. Jones offering the benediction. Ministers from various churches are invited, with parking and shelter arranged for weather.
