More than 3,000 tin workers from New Castle joined a festive industrial parade for Tin Workers Day. Grand Marshal Clark H. Buell led the 9:30 formation and the line traveled from North Street Bridge through Croton Avenue to Washington Street amid bands, floats, and holiday crowds.

Uniontown Pa June 29 District Attorney Wake K Newell investigated the death of Harvey Knox 50 Wharton township agent for a Uniontown grocer. His body with a fractured skull and a bullet wound in the head was found on a nearby farm. Authorities said they believed he was slain.

Paul Edwards of Detroit rode a careening truck down Fallston Hill, demolishing a steel fence but escaping with only scratches and bruises. In Punxsutawney Fla vious Wicks of St Marys was injured after his beer truck left the road, went over an embankment, and overturned, suffering chest injuries and cuts.
State troopers plan to arrest a suspect today in the death of nine year old Helen Glenn found near Greenville New York after a 36 hour search. An autopsy showed the girl was hacked to death with a seven inch blade in a maniacal attack.
Elmer Patterson announced recreational work on city playgrounds will start Tuesday instead of Monday due to a slight delay. Instructors will operate at McGill Rose Avenue Lincoln Garfield and Ben Franklin grounds from 10 to 12 and 1 to 5 Monday through Friday each week.
