County commissioners approve liquid fuels aid and contracts
Lawrence County commissioners allocated 7000 to Perry Township and 3000 to Ellport for road repairs and resurfacing, tabled New Castle requests, and approved 85500 in liquid fuels to nine communities. They signed a three year natural gas contract at 3.13 cents per decatherm and hired Arnold Blashak for 85000 exterior work. A 79392 radiation emergency grant was eyed, and Nellcom Technologies won a 19929 firewall contract. Next meeting set for July 11 at 10 am.

Representative Chris Sainato posted that the Harbor Road Bridge on Pulaski Road will reopen soon, linking the Wilmington Road commercial area in Neshannock Township to other county areas. The bridge near Stoners and the New Castle School of Trades had been closed from April 5 to June 21. PennDOT work was by Horzion Construction Group of Sandy Lake.
