Pulaski Township chief's motion denied in court
Lawrence County Common Pleas Court rejected William Hogue's bid to be reinstated as police chief. Hogue, fired March 10, 1998, had previously been ordered reinstated with due process concerns, but the judge ruled he should remain on unpaid leave in the same status as the 1998 termination hearing. The supervisors had appointed James Morris Jr. as chief in July 1998 and plan further action, while Hogue considers appealing to Commonwealth Court.

A physician decorates exam rooms with Norman Rockwell reproductions from U.S. daily scenes including a runaway drawing, umpire rain check, a Chicago team in the dugout, and a rookie Red Sox in a locker room. The centerpiece is a queen sized Rockwell quilt of The Spooners, created by the doctor’s wife in 13 months. The collection also features a 1958 Rockwell plate with 15 cent price, gifted by patients and tied to the doctor’s Tulane medical student days.
