Doris Austin and Billy Weston skate toward love
In a small town on a bright afternoon at the lake Doris Austin is pursued by several rival suitors after a lively skating chase. She injures her ankle in a collision with Billy Weston, a shy former classmate. Doris helps Billy through his failed publishing dreams, and they bond over ads Billy has written. Doris encourages him, helps him get work, and his career blossoms. He later thanks her as he accepts a new position, asking her to become his partner and manager, while they begin a life together.
