Death by Hanging At Shenango Valley Hospital
Elizabeth Black formerly of this city, now a Steubenville resident, died by hanging herself with a door hinge at Shenango Valley Hospital. A coroner jury found she died June 24 1900 from melancholia and nervous distress while a private patient, with hospital staff not responsible. Her remains were to be buried at Scott Street home with funeral Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
