State police accuse Ricky McCall 32 of Chicora of setting a house fire in Parker Township Butler County that killed Frances Blystone 30 and Judy Ealy 25. He faces two counts of criminal homicide and multiple arson and endangerment charges. he is jailed without bond after a hearing. He previously lived with the victims and is already awaiting trial on an arson charge for a Bruin home fire on Feb 7.

Three hikers and their three dogs were stranded for nine days on a snow ledge in the Indian Peaks Wilderness west of Boulder Colorado. They survived by rationing one freeze dried meal per person and sharing a single sleeping bag while waiting for rescue. Helicopters carried them to safety after rescue teams reached the ledge.
