Lightning strikes steeple at Emanuel Evangelical Church
A lightning bolt struck the steeple of the Emanuel Evangelical church near the Jefferson street post office on Thursday at 2 40 p m. The bolt ran along the roof ridge to the adjoining parsonage, making a hole in the roof and causing about 50 dollars in damage.
