Shepherd Case Nearing Close
The Shepherd McClintock murder case moves toward its close as William D. Shepherd nears taking the stand for the first time to tell his version of McClintock’s death. His lawyers insist he testifies only under pressure and his wife opposes his testimony due to nervousness from jail. The defense plans a brief testimony phase followed by closing arguments expected to span two days, with a jury verdict likely by Friday.
