Divers search cave for two missing Las Vegas divers
Two young divers David Rose, 20, and Paul Giancontieri, 18, of Las Vegas disappeared Monday in the Devil's Hole underwater cave near Lathrop Wells Nevada. Rescue teams from Clark County, Las Vegas, Branginey and Washington scoured the murky depths for signs of the brothers-in-law but found no trace after early alarms.

Tragic head-on crash kills father. son survives
In LaPorte Indiana on a sunny day a family cottage trip ends in a fatal head-on collision on a narrow county road. Ronald Flitter, 17, escapes his burning wagon and drags his crushed father Joseph Flitter from the wreckage before seeking help, but Joseph dies. Ronald then hurries to a nearby farmhouse for aid.

St Lawrence Holy Name Men Honored at Sunday Ceremony
John DiLuila was named man of the year and William Mittica won father of the year at a Holy Name Society event after Mass. Ronald DiLullo was the youngest father present. The awards came during the annual father son communion breakfast led by Master of Ceremonies Pat Panella. Plans were made for installing Lawrence County Holy Name Deery officers at 3 p.m. Sunday in St. Lawrence Church. Reverend Cereone congratulated the group on cooperation and attendance.

Pitt council seeks Pitt aid to curb university crisis
