Which brakes offer the most gripping power
Car Talk advises that if maximum stopping power is the goal, semi metallic performance street pads from StopTech or Hawk deliver the strongest bite, though they bring more noise and rotor wear. Ceramic pads offer quiet stops, good heat dissipation, long life, and low dust, and are recommended for balanced performance.
