Register of Wills Joseph N Macx iell issued a rule to show cause why Aaron Olbum should not be revoked as administrator and Marie M Olbum named as administrator as the petition claims she is his lawful wife. The estate is valued around 20000 with a $1000 reward previously paid for the body’s recovery. Olbur is thought to have fallen overboard while fishing.
Dwight W. Morrow captured the Republican senatorial nomination in New Jersey by a vast margin on the single issue of opposing prohibition. He defeated Franklin W. Fort Joseph S. Frelinghuysen and John A. Kelley as returns continued to arrive, with early estimates suggesting a margin around 200000.
In dense fog the United States liner President Roosevelt grounded on Robbins Reef in upper New York Bay. The vessel cleared quarantine at 7 08 and re floated by afternoon, carrying 300 Gold Star mothers as it resumed toward its dock.
