Tornadoes devastate four Midwest states causing widespread damage
Severe storms tore through Minnesota South Dakota Nebraska and Iowa with multiple tornadoes. In Chandler Minnesota 25 to 30 homes and an apartment building were damaged or destroyed while chemicals from storage tanks spilled. Five towns reported injuries and 12 000 power customers lost electricity. Authorities evacuated and distributed water as the National Guard aided cleanup.
