Thousands To Assemble Here For Centennial
Centennial Week in New Castle promises a grand celebration with daily entertainment and 16 acts, including Captain Jack Payne high diving twice daily and performing bears. No carnival shows are allowed as organizers vet acts to avoid anything shady, with July 4 highlighted as the peak day. The parade will take an hour and a half to pass, and events at Diamond park include a memorial yellings, band concerts, a Centennial dog show, and Cascada park attractions. Weather permitting, the town expects a record turnout.
