Berner Leads Air Curtain Push Across Building Codes
Berner Industries chief executive Berner explains air curtains as energy savers and vestibule alternatives now listed in the International Green Construction Code. The firm backs independent tests and third party research showing air curtains perform equal or better than vestibules, especially in cold climates. Based in New Castle near Youngstown, the company leverages its industrial hub access for national and international sales. Berner, a mother of four who became CEO after her husband’s death in 1984, remains active and plans no retirement.
