Flag Raising At Henry Home Marks Flag Day Event
A large audience gathered at Margaret Henry Home Saturday for a flag raising led by the Lawrence Chapter D A R. The 6 by 16 foot flag, a gift from the DAR, was raised by three scouts as children sang America. Judge S Plummer Emery and Sergeant Menzing spoke on the flag’s history and duty. The program honored the home’s trustees and noted donations from D S Pyle and John Taggart for the flag and pole.
