Administrative reorganization contemplated for PIC consortium
Tanner and Bell pressed the governing board to back a plan to create AHSA as a new administrative level and realign resources and staff through June 1986. The plan includes a new PIC advisory committee, a contracted consulting firm, and continued regional oversight for Lawrence and Mercer counties with liability sharing and ongoing board membership through mid 1986. The group plans to seek legal opinions and reconvene June 25 in Franklin, while an appeal to withdraw remains pending with the federal Labor Department.
