Zone change approved on Mount Jackson Road lot
North Beaver Township Supervisors approved rezoning of a lot on the east side of McBride Acres and Mount Jackson Road from highway commercial to suburban residential to permit housing. They awarded a $4,420 contract to Shingledecker's Welding Inc. to repair a deteriorating abutment under the New Road Bridge, which will stay open during work. Herman Cretan was named to fill Rick Leslie's unexpired zoning hearing board term, expiring December 31, 2018, with three years remaining in Leslie's five-year term. The board agreed to bid for black topping LenAnn Drive and a mile of McLain Road, and to have a private firm print and mail township maps to every household at no cost, with mailing likely months away. Supervisor Amanda McBride was absent.
