William Manolis 85 of Neshannock Township died June 4 2014 at Jameson Hospital with his five sons and family at his side He was born November 18 1928 in Sabraton West Virginia and married Rose Moses in 1958 She preceded him in death in 2003 A retired IRS agent and Korean War Army veteran he was a member of St George Greek Orthodox Church He is survived by five sons a brother and nine grandchildren A Trisagion service and funeral services with military rites followed by entombment at Castle View Memorial Gardens.

Amish residents escape minor fire at Route 551 home
Enon Valley firefighters battled a noon blaze at 1586 Route 551 that damaged siding but left a Little Beaver residence largely intact. Occupants, an Amish family, were outside when crews arrived and soon permitted to reenter after under one hour on scene.

Crestview Gardens disturbance ends with marijuana charge
McGrath Manor resident Anthony Thurman, 22, of 821 McGrath Ave., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana after police responded to about 10 people arguing near Crestview Gardens on Pin Oak Drive. A plastic tube of suspected marijuana was found between Thurman's legs. he was released and will receive a summons by mail.

Man accused of stealing from business
A North Hill man has been charged with theft from his former employer GEM Inc. Steven G. Stunkard, 36, allegedly tried to pawn the tools in New Castle and Beaver Falls after being fired. He also gave an Allison Park address to pawnbrokers and faces four counts of theft five counts of receiving stolen property and one count of criminal attempt at theft by false impression. He was summonsed to appear in court.
