P&LE to Start Erse Branch Improvements This Month
The P and L E will begin work on the New Castle to Sharon branch line toward month end. Track will be straightened from the Washington street bridge to the pumping station with heavy grading relaying heavier rails and a new bridge. Many workers will be employed and construction on the new station will start shortly after. Heavy track repairs on the Pittsburg to Youngstown line also begin this month.
