New York June 3 The wedding gift to Edmund A Guggenheim son of Senator Simon Guggenheim of Colorado saw him plead guilty to a third traffic law violation. The court imposed a $100 fine and one day jail term. He requested leniency noting Yale ties and upcoming marriage but the judge denied. He served about thirty five minutes before release.

Refused to Shoot Father in Ottoman Rebellion Execution
In Vienna on June 3 a Turkish soldier named Affa, jailed for refusing to take part in his father Affa Bey’s execution, hanged himself in his Uskub prison cell. Affa Bey, a prominent Albanian noble, had joined the revolution. his son, loyal to the government, fired at the squad but was jailed by Major Risa Mirza Bey, who warned of severe punishment for disobedience.
