Dear Tom, a 2000 Honda Civic with 265000 miles on the original engine and clutch has clutch engagement only at the top and now risks stalling. The hydraulic system is self adjusting but adjustment has run out. Replacing the clutch at about 700 dollars is advised to avoid getting stranded. the car may continue a couple more years with rust mitigation.
Ellwood City librarian Nancy Wallace released her 20th title Among Wolves as an eBook on May 21 and will publish a paperback edition on November 19. The story emerged from a two week writing sprint after HarperCollins selected it from over 5,000 manuscripts.
Nicholas F. Paolini, a certified public accountant and senior manager at Packer Thomas in New Castle, was honored May 15 at the Northwestern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs annual meeting for outstanding service. U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly honored Yvonne Clark of Walker's Neighborhood House with the Third District Community Champion Award for the second quarter of 2015. The ceremony occurred May 27 at St. John United Holy Church, recognizing Clark's leadership since 2006 in providing tutoring and after-school mentoring through the Gussie M. Walker Community Outreach Organization in New Castle.
