Texting ban debated after Capitol rally by ABATE of Pennsylvania
After a Capitol rally by ABATE of Pennsylvania on Monday afternoon, supporters discussed banning texting while driving. Gallatin, among 59 PA distracted driving deaths in 2013, spurred renewed calls for enforcement and better consequences. State data show 1,410 texting tickets statewide last year, with uneven enforcement across counties and discussions of broader bans including talking on a cell phone.
