Relay for Life fundraiser powers through 12 hour event

The New Castle Relay for Life drew 58 teams and over 550 participants in a 12 hour effort. Margolis neared a $1,000 goal amid rain as teams like Kids Krew and Kids 4 a Kure led by Cheryl Vanasco and Danielle Roberts kept fundraising and games running for attendees. Cancer survivor Salvatore Russo, a 20 year throat cancer survivor, wore a survivor shirt and walked in the event’s survivor walk for 12 years prior to sitting out this year.
