Millenni um Park development gains township approval
Neshannock Township supervisors approved an agreement with the Lawrence County Economic Development Corp for a building permit and sewer tap in fees at Millennium Park 2-1 with Ed Stevens and Ralph Sheen in favor and Joe Gierlach opposed. Gierlach blasted the vote citing a $43,909 sewer tap in fee and lack of dollar figures. A $292,230 municipal lien released in 2006 remains tied to the park, with the lien uncovering prior developer actions and a high tech plant that never materialized. Linda Nitch of the LCIDC confirms the check was issued to release the lien and is in escrow.
