Samuel Marino, held in the county jail in default of 1000 bail, is charged with attempting to kill Miss Marie Augustine, daughter of Joseph Augustine of Sheep Hill. He allegedly fired on the Augustine home after claiming they had obtained a marriage license but she later refused him. The incident prompted Det. J. H. Breen and Officer Brig Young to arrest Marino, who was intoxicated and threatening further violence. A hearing is set for Friday evening.

In a bid to overtake Ensign Conneau flying as Andre Beau mont, Roland Garros left Pisa at 9 45 a m to reach Rome, the second leg terminus. Garris 13 M Vidart trailed as they chase the 100000 prize. Conneau arrived in Rome yesterday afternoon.
