About 150 workers on the Tygart Valley resettlement project halted work after mass layoffs and a dispute over supervision. Harrisville man Gillcrest hit an eight point buck on Franklin Road. The deer leaped from a bank and struck the car in mid air, killing the deer and causing about 75 dollars in damage to the vehicle. Gillcrest stopped safely after the impact.
