DA to file charges soon in jail overdose case
Lawrence County detectives near completion of an investigation into a March jail overdose death of Donald Walter IV of Grove City and other overdoses. District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa said affidavits will detail probable cause and note a future security fix for how narcotics entered the jail. At least one other inmate was treated at a hospital and recovered. Walter awaited trial on drug and related charges when he died.

New Castle district reshuffles sports staff and The Rack role
The New Castle Area School Board reorganized coaching positions at the Rack on Sutton Street a district owned training center. Athletic director Fred Mozzoccio proposed taking on The Rack coordinator duties to save money and resign as boys track coach. The board ended Grossetti Performance LLC’s $35,000 contract and pays Mozzoccio $ ten thousand for Rack management in addition to his $82,500 athletic director salary.
