The body, severed at the waist, is believed to have fallen from or been thrown from a through freight train en route west. The deceased stood about 5 feet 10 inches and weighed roughly 130 pounds with black curly hair, wearing light trousers and shirt under overalls and tan shoes. Philadelphia youth found guilty of murder in McCloskey case
Richard Bach, 20, of Philadelphia, was found guilty of the murder of Rose McCloskey, 19, by a 12 man jury that recommended the death penalty. Judge Harry S. McDevitt did not impose sentence. Bach denied the crime on the stand as the jury deliberated an hour after case delivery. The victim was beaten to death last spring during an attempted assault.

Troop F 103rd Cavalry Delays Inspection
Troop F of the 103rd cavalry will not stand inspection this week due to Major Samuel B. Wolfe, squadron commander, being unable to arrive.
