Canton Ohio July 20 Robert Skilling inherited more than 15000 from his late wife’s uncle Robert Quinn who died in Belfast Ireland leaving a 40000 estate. Skilling says he will keep working at the United Steel mills as a blacksmith so he does not quit his job despite the inheritance. Mrs Skilling is dead.
At a special meeting of the pic nic committee of the Merchants association of Ellwood last night arrangements were completed for events expected to mark the most successful outing of the association.
A city committee recommended curb lighting on Washington Street with a two inch iron conduit on both sides from Pearson Street to the Shenango River. Bids for gas and electric lights will be invited, with posts every sixty feet and four posts at street corners. The plan includes repaving and including conduit installation in the contract.
Grove City Pa July 20 The city will have a new modern hotel by December 1 in the New Redmond block on College avenue now under construction. The City Hotel will be managed by Frank Uber and serve travelers, the college community, and the business district.
