Three youngsters bitten by dogs in weekend incidents
David Yakubik nine of Enon Valley RD 2 was treated at Jameson Memorial Hospital for lacerations to his left arm and chest after a dog bite yesterday. Patricia Campbell seven of Crestwood Dr was bitten on the left eyebrow Saturday and released from Jameson Memorial Hospital. Frank Hammers one of 511 W Madison Ave was treated at St Francis Hospital yesterday for a bite on the upper lip.

Gagliardo sets record in Ellwood City Soap Box Derby
Joe Gagliardo 13 of New Castle won the 26th annual Soap Box Derby on Fourth Street clocking 25.3 seconds as Berkely’s Restaurant sponsored car set a new track record. Tom Boy finished second in Class B with 12-year-old drivers, and Dan Boy’s son was among top finishers.
