Racial tension flares in Chicago areas with dog patrols

Enon Valley School Demolished Marked End Of Era

The old Enon Valley School in Lawrence County was torn down after eight decades of use. Desks sold off for 25 cents, memories linger as crews dismantle the two story brick structure likely built after 1870. High school history includes 1912 start, 1916 four year term, first graduation in 1915, and closure in 1943 with a 1958 abandonment of the elementary building.
