P L E plans $950000 station upgrade in New Castle

A joint program by the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie and Baltimore and Ohio railroads will provide modern station facilities in New Castle. About $250000 will be spent on P L E main line facilities, with the B and O station used as a nucleus for joint passenger services. The plan follows years of urging for a new main line station on the trunk route.
