The county Mental Health-Mental Retardation office plans a study to assess the need for training preschool children under five in Lawrence County. At yesterday’s board meeting, director Murray Weisman noted current law places responsibility with the state DPI. Board member Robert Glenn said schools may educate only children over five years seven months, and Lawrence County has received $15 in state funds for this purpose.
