Six Die In York Lincoln Highway Headon Crash
Six persons were killed and three injured in a headon collision on the Lincoln Highway four miles west of York Pennsylvania. The dead include drivers Dean E Diehl and Norman J Sauer and five others from Abbottstown and Hanover. Coroner calls it the worst highway massacre in York County and speeds were reported at 62 and 55 mph at impact. Mrs Delta Hoke of Abbottstown died hours later in hospital.
