City Church to stay downtown after council vote
New Castle City Council approved a 6-1 conditional use allowing City Church to remain at the Centennial Building 11 27 S Mill St. The church will occupy about 35 percent of the property, with the rest marketed for retail and office space. Short and long term leases are planned, and the bank branch and theater museum will stay. Mayor Elisco dissented citing opposition to the ordinance change.

Salute to service commemorates South Hill Honor Roll rededication

Tuition frozen for six years in Pennsylvania system
Harrisburg reports that the State System of Higher Education will keep tuition at current levels for a sixth straight year. The 2024 25 state budget provides PASSHE with 6207 million and an additional 85 million for facilities transition. Chancellor Dan Greenstein says a tuition freeze will be recommended at the next Board meeting.
