Betty Jo Shinsky was chosen International Music League Queen at the Cedar Point convention. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Shinsky of 702 Shenango Street. An accordion student at the Margaret Nastas Conservatory of Music in Flood City she competed against more than 100 girls from across the country. Nastas entered five bands and several soloists in week long contests. Two bands won first place and three took second. Thirteen soloists earned superior ratings and six earned excellent ratings.

Reynolds Family Man Dies At Home In New Castle
Edward Rosser Reynolds aged 67 of 414 Maitland Lane died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday of an apparent heart attack. He was a retired International Harvester mechanic from Boardman Ohio and longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle.
