Washington July 12 The Federal Radio Commission vowed to clear the air and reallocate wave lengths by September 1 after revoking licenses of 184 smaller stations effective August 1. Hearings proceed this week with over 50 stations appealing the federal order, citing financial losses and questioning commission authority. WABF Kingston PA among the docket as actions narrow to final decisions between July 20 and August 1.
The Pennsylvania superior court upheld a magistrate ruling allowing the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to perform concerts on Sunday. Orchestra members had been arrested on warrants for violating Sunday blue laws, a test case on applying the law to Sabbath concerts.

Camp Gordon Henderson Pennsylvania July 12 Field training of 1500 troops of the 62d cavalry brigade and attached units under Brigadier General Edward C Shannon is nearing completion. The 104th cavalry first squadron under Major E Fittings from Tyrone New Castle and Harrisburg competed on the rifle range then joined the second squadron on the pistol range to shoot for divisional records. The 10th cavalry Philadelphia unit commanded by Major Edward Hoopes spent the morning on the pistol range receiving instruction for records. The 109d second squadron under Major Samuel B Wolfe from Lock continued anti aircraft gunnery.
Elwood City issued marriage licenses to Philip Romeo and Mary Laritua with details recorded for public record. Both parties are named in the license entries and were processed by the local clerk's office.

A man believed to be Harold M. Baillie of East Aurora plunged over the American falls on Luna Island as hundreds watched. A sealed letter was also found addressed to Mrs Baillie.
