Parents Seek 6000 Damages After Son Chester Killed

Adam Kapsiyin and Josie Kapsa vio, through attorneys H. Akens and El. A. Wikison, sue Charles C. Rigby for 6000 in a trespass action over Chester Kapsiyin, age 6, killed May 21 when a wholesale Hanor truck delivering on Fulton Street ran over him after the driver left the truck to deliver goods. Negligence claimed for failure to watch street obstructions and operate the truck carefully.

City seeks inquiry into White Automobile pump intentions

Councilmen this morning directed an inquiry of the White Automobile company AS to intentions regarding the auto fire engine for the Seventh ward station. The city did not accept the machine due to a technicality in the pump. An answer is expected tomorrow, Councilman Hamilton said.

Armory gatherings daily from 9 am to 5 pm and Thursday evening, recruitment efforts aim to reach at least 40 recruits total as mobilization nears. Veterans form the core, with many having border service experience, and the unit eyes rapid expansion into a fuller army component ready for duty.
