Republicans raise questions on county committee election
Law rence County Republican Committee members Lynne Ryan and Carrie Hahn challenged the certification claiming Joan Conti appeared on the ballot in the wrong district. Conti had 2-3 on her petition but 2-2 on the back. the error went unchecked as ballots were printed. County elections director Tim Germani said Conti’s petition lapsed with the 2-2 designation.

The Mission Barn in Shenango Township at 181 Columbus Drive off Route 422 paid off a 15-year mortgage in 28 months thanks to donations and grants. By May end the group also invested $160,000 in space upgrades including a loading dock, meeting area, storage, woodshop and parking, as a ministry of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church aiding those in need.

Wayne Township names new police chief after Magnifico resignation
Wayne Township supervisors accepted the resignation of police chief Robert Magnifico amid a May promotion of Caden Ochs enhirt to chief while Magnifico faced a June 6 incident video. Ochs enhirt also serves as a full time officer with North Sewickley Township PD. The panel also hired Ellwood City officer James Cunningham for one day monthly.
