Ed ward McNew, who shot and killed Edward McLin after finding McLin with McNew’s wife in a Knoxville park, was released on 5000 dollars bond after a preliminary hearing. Magistrate Mynatt ruled the act justified under the unwritten law and McNew surrendered himself following the confrontation.
