Nine men charged after Neshannock Ave raid by police
City police raided a Neshannock Avenue house at 12 30 a m after two days of surveillance and residents complaints about drinking. James Woods 21 was charged with maintaining a disorderly house possessing fireworks and corrupting the morals of minors and jailed on 2000 bond. Several others including two juveniles were charged with visiting a disorderly house and fines were ordered or paid. Fireworks beer and empty wine jugs were seized.

Publisher in Saigon Sentenced for Viet Cong Links

Father of Eight Drowns in Creek Hole Accident
William Taylor aged 41 of Meadville Pennsylvania drowned Friday after stepping into a hole in French Creek while swimming with his wife and two daughters.
