AT&T unions reach tentative three year contract
AT&T and two unions reached a tentative three year contract for about 125,000 workers with the aid of a federal mediator. The deal, retroactive to May 30, ends three months of talks, avoids a strike, and will be up for ratification by Communications Workers of America and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers members after local issues talks.

Pilot injured in rental plane crash at New Castle Airport

Cameras Improve Security at Lawrence County Jail
The Lawrence County Jail installed twenty seven surveillance cameras this year with monitors in the control room and warden's office. The system cost about sixty thousand dollars and is supplied by NUCOM Electronics. Warden John Rowley says cameras provide constant observation, enhance safety, and allow recording for accountability and security procedures.
